1. Overview

Forza Fasting ("the App") is a locally-first iOS application. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any remote servers. All data stays on your device.

2. Data We Collect

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Fasting sessions (start/end times, duration, schedule type)
  • User name and profile picture
  • App preferences and settings
  • Achievement and award history
  • Join date and usage timestamps

3. How Data Is Stored

  • On-Device: All data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database (SQLCipher) and a local key-value store (MMKV) on your device.
  • iCloud Backup: If enabled, your data is backed up to your personal iCloud account using Apple's encrypted iCloud infrastructure. This backup is controlled entirely by you and Apple. iCloud backup is enabled by default and can be disabled in Settings.
  • Manual Backup: You can export a JSON backup file and share or store it wherever you choose.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not use any analytics services (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
  • We do not use any advertising or tracking networks
  • We do not send crash reports to external servers
  • We do not create user accounts or assign remote user identifiers
  • We do not transmit any data to our servers — we have no backend servers

5. Permissions

The App may request the following iOS permissions:

  • Photo Library: To save or share your fasting results as images
  • Notifications: To deliver local achievement and milestone alerts
  • iCloud Drive: For optional encrypted iCloud backup

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses open-source libraries and Apple platform services only. No third-party SDKs that collect user data are included. Google Fonts are bundled locally at build time.

The App may request an App Store review via Apple's native SKStoreReviewController after milestone achievements. No data is shared with us in this process.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App has no account system or remote data collection.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from Settings → Clear All Data. Uninstalling the App also removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud backups, manage them through your iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
